Located in Woodland, this exciting manufacturing company focuses on sales, engineering, fabrication and delivering the highest level of quality to the customers. As a Shop Manager. you will report directly to the company president. You will have input and influence over how the plant operates and the team is developed.

In this Shop Manager role, you will be responsible for engaging 20-30 employees each shift by motivating, training, and developing them to ensure the daily production schedule is on track. 

You will track attendance, equipment, and supply availability, as well as monitoring the performance and productivity of the department while adhering to all company specific safety standards.

Other Responsibilities Include:

• Perform worker evaluations and disciplinary actions, and make salary or bonus decisions
• Work closely with the company President, planning and organizing plant operations
• Train new employees or manage their training
• Ensure quality control is maintained to the utmost standard of AISC and AWS certifications
• Partner directly with clients and help with the completion of work orders
• Review project specs based on conversations with client
• Offer time and material estimates or recommend outside contractors or vendors

Shop Manager Requirements:

• Mandatory: Experience in structural steel industry, welding (knowledge of AISC/AWS requirements)
• 5+ years of management experience or a combination of education and/or experience to total five plus years
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6am – 4pm

Pay: $90K+ DOE
