In this Senior Accountant role, you will be responsible for maintaining and controlling the General Ledger accounts and business transactions via transactional processing, development and monitoring, applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) including analytical work and review of regular and closing adjusting entries, preparation of monthly account reconciliations and financial statement preparation for analysis.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Preparation, review and posting of accurate and timely complex general ledger account reconciliations
  • Monitor daily and identify, research and reconcile account variances by conducting detailed analysis with a focus on process improvement
  • Participate in activities related to the month-end closing process, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, variance explanations and financial reporting
  • Maintain overall accuracy and integrity of the general ledger records and reconcile cash
  • Investments, prepaid expenses, fixed and intangible assets, accounts payable, accrued expenses, and intercompany accounts
  • Prepare and review schedules for internal/external auditors in connection with reviews/audits

Schedule:

Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm (some flexibility)
4 days in the office with 1 day optional work from home

Senior Accountant Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of accounting experience
  • Proven problem solving and communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills and strong attention to details
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and SUMIFS

Pay - 85K - 105K depending on experience
