To put it simply, this company designs, commissions and services power units to power things like aircrafts and large yachts when they are stationary. In this Mechanical Designer role, you will be responsible for providing the mechanical layout and support for complex metal enclosure systems.

Mechanical Designer Responsibilities:

  • Create engineering design layouts of parts and assemblies for customer specific product requests
  • Modify released drawings and BOM’s
  • Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings for fabrication and assembly
  • Execute judgement concerning dimensioning and tolerance, materials and finish selections, and in general, sound mechanical design practices

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay: $70,000-80,000/year

Mechanical Designer Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or commensurate experience
  • 3+ years of experience engineering drawing/design practice with metal enclosures
  • Proficient with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Knowledgeable of magnetism of metal design and how it affects electrical systems 
  • Ability to work autonomously and meet timeline deadlines
